What kind of hair style/cut is good for a woman with a lot of hair?

I have a lot of hair. So much hair that every hair dresser I have ever been to has felt the need to make mention of it. Not just a passing comment either, but a ';Wow, you have twice as much hair as most people. I am sure people have told you this before. How do you deal with so much hair?';

My problem is that, because there is so much hair, it is pretty much impossible for me to do anything but wear it up. No matter how long I spend with a hair straightener, it is always too poofy to look anything but unkept. I want to be able to keep my hair at least shoulder length and wear it down without looking like I have never heard of a brush.

Is there any way of having my hair thinned, or finding a style that allows me to do this?What kind of hair style/cut is good for a woman with a lot of hair?

tell them that you want to keep the length but you want to thin it out

have you ever heard of yuko systems? it's a chemical straightening that they do at a salon, and it lasts for about 4 to 6 months, or however long it takes for your hair to grow out and show again. it becomes poker straight and also thinner (though i'm not sure if thats from the chemicals or the fact that it's straight) two of my friends had the exact same problem and this made it a lot easier for them to deal with.

other than that i can suggest having it cut in layers, which will create a thinner effect?

i hope you find something that works for you, every girl deserves to feel effortlessly beautiful.

good luck!
u can layer ur hair
getting your hair layered will help thin it out and make it not so heavy, using a serum to smooth hair will also help.
have rebonded hair... you can also cut thin your hair if you want.
