Is it a sin for women to cut their hair short?

Short as in the common range for a man, that is above the shoulder.Is it a sin for women to cut their hair short?
1Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given her for a covering.





Some religions feel that the longer the hair the greater your glory. I think that its between you and God.Is it a sin for women to cut their hair short?

well its not a sin, but God considered it wrong for women to look like men %26amp; vise versa, he condenmed homosexuality I personaly like long hair on women, but thats only my opinion

Not in any branch of christianity i know of. I don't know is Jews use the term ';sin'; as such, but i have heard that orthodox jewish women must ask their husband's permission if they want to cut their hair short, but i assume if their husband doesn't mind they can do what they like.





Islam and Judaism both have restrictions on men cutting their beards, so they may have some restrictions on women cutting their hair. Though with regard to Islam liberal muslims, particularly Sunnis, take the beard rule as a recommendation not an order. It is in the Haddith (saying of the prophet) not the Koran (regarded as the word of God) and so has less value than other rules.There's probably something in the depths of the Haddith against women with short hair, but there seems to be something in the depths of the Haddith against everything. Sorry i probably spelt all that wrong. All the religions which seem likely to have something against the buzz-cut-dyke look (orthodox Judaism, Islam, etc.) also mandate covering the hair, so it's hard to tell.
Most sects cite 1 Corithians 11:1-15 to justify the tradition of women not cutting their hair (verse 15 even says long hair is a woman's glory), However, verse 16 makes it aboundantly clear that those traditions are not customs of the Christian church.

dont believe so, I dont cut my hair, but its not because of biblical reasons. my fiancee liked it long, so I stopped cutting it.
