Are short hair cuts makroh? for women?

Bring your daleel if you have some, someone is saying this is haram. Are short hair cuts makroh? for women?
nope .the prophet's(pbuh) wives had short hair too .. but make sure it doesnt make you look masculine

islamqa.com-

the ruling on cutting women’s hair. Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

We do not know anything (to disallow) cutting women’s hair. What is forbidden is shaving it. You should not shave your hair but you may cut it and reduce its length or volume; we know of nothing wrong with that. But that should be done in a proper manner which will please you and your husband. You should come to some agreement with him on a kind of haircut that does not resemble kaafir women, because if you leave it long, it will be a lot of trouble to wash it and comb it. So if the hair is very long or thick, and the woman cuts it to reduce its length or volume, that doesn’t matter. Cutting some of it will make it more beautiful, which will please both the woman and her husband. So we do not know of any reason to disallow that. But shaving it altogether is not permissible, except in the case of sickness. And Allaah is the Source of strength.

See Fataawa al-Mar’ah al-Muslimah, part 2, p. 515

It was narrated in Saheeh Muslim that Abu Salamah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmaan said: “The wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to cut their hair until it came just below their ears.” (al-Hayd, 320)

Al-Nawawi said: this indicates that it is permissible for women to cut their hair short.

But women should avoid resembling kaafir women or immoral women when they cut their hairAre short hair cuts makroh? for women?

resembling kafir woman in deeds or due to hair cut !! wow what a Daleel (evidence)

what if a muslimah resembles a kafir woman.a look alike !!!

she should be in hell ,just for being a look alike !! right !!
I believe that when it comes to the matters of the body, there are two basic things to consider:

1) You must not do something with your body which explicitly resembles the opposite sex.

2) It must not resemble something explicitly done by non-Muslims.

Both of these have their evidence in the Ahadith.

1) Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with them both) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed men who imitate women and women who imitate men.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 5435)

2) The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): ';Whoever imitates a people is one of them.'; (Reported by Abu Dawood, 4/314)

--------------------------------------…

To make it clear, it is permissible to cut the hair short as long as it doesn't get too short to resemble hairstyles of men. And it is also forbidden to shave the hair (for a woman) unless it is for medical reasons. Also hairstyles which are explicitly named and remembered after non-Muslim people are all prohibited.

God knows best.
Its a tricky topic.

Oh and remember disliked is still halal.

So women are not suppose to imitate men and vice versa.

Some people say we have to follow arab culture to determine what is feminine and masculine.....others say follow your own culture.

You get people though that bring up the point that western society thinks premarital sex is ok......but this is an unparalleled point....since the quran gives specific guildlines about that....but you get other similar things. .

But this issue is the society's morals.....

So i'd think its fine...because based on the quran...having a short haircut wouldn't be immoral.......and then if its not deemed masculine by your society...then you're good.
No, let us see:

Women have to wear scarves because their hair arises heterosexual men.

Men don't have to wear scarves although their hair arises homosexual men.

Makes a heck lot of sense. I don't believe women need to wear scarves at all, so cutting their hair short would concern me even less.

Well, I do know that girls should not look like boys and vice verse, but a short hair cut does not necessarily mean it will look masculine. There are many shorter hairstyles that are definitely completely feminine in appearance and I would think that a style such as that is permitted. Any hairstyle is OK so long as the Muslim is not trying to look like the opposite gender.

Like take a look at this hair cut: http://www.myhaircuts.com/1/sexy-short-h… Despite it being a short cut, no one can deny that it looks feminine, so I do not see anything wrong with it, Islamically. Of course I'm no scholar, so I rather not give you an official verdict. So please just take this as my opinion.
well it depends how short u are talking about if it is like a boy cut or something that boys do then yes but if it is like till shoulders or a bit shorter then that then it is allowed but in islam cutting hair is not that good
it isnt Halal based on the Hadith that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) cursed such men who imitated women and such women who imitated men. (Bukhari, Hadith: 5436. Tirmizi, Hadith: 2708)

Allah knows best
