Good hair cuts for middle age women?

My mom is 47 and has no idea what to do with her hair. It's really thin and right now it's length is down to her chin and all one length. In my opinion it has no style and is too long. She needs an easy style to keep up. something where you can just get out of the shower and go. Any suggestions? Pictures of ideas are appreciated!

It really depends more on the shape of her face. I suggest not too short based on an article I read in a magazine that said that long hair makes women look younger. However, she should consider some layers, which make the hair cut look modern. I suggest going to a rad place to get it cut and ask the stylist for suggestions.

In that case, a bob that is not too short tends to work. i would recommend one around ear lobe length with a layer or two not too much above, maybe an half an inch and some kind of longish side bangs. What I'm describing should look good when left alone, and since its thin hair it wont look all puffy and when blow dried it can look dressy. You don't want to make it too short a haircut, because it tends to make a round face look chubby.Good hair cuts for middle age women?
If sh ehas a good shaped face,a modren bob would be good
Not too short as it makes people look older. But at the same time not too long because it tends to look strange on older women, My mum is about the same age and she has sholder length hair. what type of cut really depends on the face shape. But i would go sholder length.

:)
Have her check out bobs. There are a million different kinds and all they require a wash and dry with a little gel. my Mom has one and she is 55 yrs. old. She looks great and in style without trying to look young. She also only needs to wash her hair about every other day. It shouldn't be a problem with a good cut.
